There’s a late bloomer, and then there’s a *late bloomer.* Doyun may be half Omega, but he certainly doesn’t look it: he’s tall, chiseled… But the worst of it all is that he’s a full-grown adult male who has yet to go into heat. He doesn’t see the problem, and everyone assumes he’s an Alpha, anyway. But when his body finally decides it’s “time,” it just happens to be at the most inopportune moment. He has no-one to turn to but his work rival, Taehan – but thankfully, Taehan is more than man enough to help him out.

Review

I love enemies turned into lovers’ stories so after hinting that in the first few panels of this manhwa, I knew I had to see it through. And I can’t believe I’m so lucky because it’s an omegaverse too!

Love Shuttle is divided into 3 seasons, the first season is my least favorite but I still enjoyed it especially on it’s last few chapters before its season finale. The first season was a bit annoying because one of the main characters is always running away, it’s a good thing that the other main character is always running after him. The first season documented how their relationship turned into love, although there’s still some punching and hitting involved sometimes, hahaha (only for Doyun lol). For the second season, I actually loved it. I love seeing how their romance blossomed and how the two of them worked together on helping Doyun to control his pheromones. As for the third season, everything is still very romantic and the bed scenes were as many as the second season and so intense (weew), but I am glad that their relationship has now turned into something more, waaah, I’m so happy for the both of them.

For the characters:

Lee Doyun is an omega but he’s a special case. He doesn’t look like one physically, actually all his coworkers thought that he’s an alpha. His life has been convenient for him until he’s got his first heat cycle and everything just turned upside down. Personally, I liked his character and I do understand his awkwardness in the first season but he’s been running away a lot of times which was really annoying. But after that was settled, he’s a pretty chill character.

Jung Taehan. Ahhh, this alpha is definitely what I want for my omegaverse story. I love that he always runs after Doyun and how he’s an ugly crier, hahaha. It was actually pretty cute. He’s two years younger than Doyun so you can see his childlike traits once in a while, which is really adorable to read about. I also love how he always cares about Doyun most especially in the first season where the two of them were basically enemies/rivals at work. It also warms my heart how he started to get really serious because he’s getting ready to make his own family with Doyun. Awwww <3

There were also some amusing sets of side characters that I’m sure you will enjoy reading about, especially their parents, *wink.

The illustrations were also good. Actually when I first started it, I didn’t like it at first. But it gets better and better in each season. Seeing its third season, I just can’t believe how far it has gotten since its very first panel.

Another thing I liked about this story is that there were no unnecessary drama and cliché conflicts. So I guarantee that there will definitely be no drama in terms of story and also characters. And speaking of characters, there’s also an additional couple in this story and their pairing is definitely amusing. They appear in the original story, but they also have their own special chapters before the start of seasons 2 and 3.

And that ending was really sweet. It was simple but very meaningful which makes you really excited for the next chapter of their lives together <3

Love Shuttle is highly recommended for all yaoi and omegaverse lovers!

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes.

It has been forever since I read Yaoi stories and this one sounds pretty good. You sold me on it with the no unnecessary drama. 🙂
