Book Review – Nocte by Courtney Cole

Nocte is the first book of the Nocte Trilogy by Courtney Cole. It’s a really dark, emotional read that I am sure it will leave you crying your heart out. I really love that aside from the family aspect, this one also added a romantic part to it which balances the whole story. This book is highly recommended!

All Around the Town is another exciting mystery/suspense from the Queen of Suspense herself. It’s a story of Laurie who’s suffering from a multiple personality disorder because of the kidnapping she experienced while she was just 4 years old. This book got a really creepy culprit and I’m sure the suspense and mystery will blow your mind. Highly recommended!

And since I’ve already exhausted my sports anime to-watch list (well, almost *wink), I decided to try something dramatic this time. I originally tried some other anime suggestions first but it’s only with this anime that I was able to settle in as early as the first episode.

So, for this week’s geeky discussion, I would like to ask you guys one question – Why Do You Love to Read?

Why Haikyuu Reminds Me of Slam Dunk

I’m not a sports person myself but once in a while, I do enjoy watching sports tournaments or shows during my free time. And lately, I’ve been watching quite a lot of sports anime but not one of them came close to Slam Dunk (don’t get me wrong, Yuri on Ice is amazing but in a different kind of way for me, *wink) until I came across Haikyuu. Haikyuu is a Japanese term for volleyball. And yes, this anime series is about a group of talented high schoolers in a volleyball club.

When did you start reading as a hobby?  This question is what usually comes to my mind first whenever I meet some new fellow bookworms. I love talking about books especially hearing stories as to when they started to love reading books as a hobby, who influenced them to read, etc. So, for this week’s geeky discussions, let’s talk about…
