Anime Review – Skip Beat!

I’ve been seeing Skip Beat in the list of anime recommendation in my myanimelist account for quite a while now but I’m not sold just by looking at its cover photo. Then one day I saw it’s trailer in youtube and ended up liking it! And yep, you should never really judge a book by its cover, *wink.

Book Review – The Melody Lingers On by Mary Higgins Clark

The Memory Lingers On is quite different from Mary Higgins Clark’s usual stories because there’s no crime to be solve. Don’t get me wrong, the mystery and suspense is still there ofcourse. But unlike the previous book that I’ve read from hers, this one didn’t stood up for me, but overall, it’s still a pretty interesting read.

Book Review – All Dressed in White by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke

All Dressed in White is the 3rd book of the Under Suspicion series and just like the first two books in the series, this one had me in circles. I keep on changing who’s the culprit because dang! MHC is still very good in making each characters act like the bad guy. If you’re up for a story that will keep you guessing til the end, this book is highly recommended!

Manga Review – Slam Dunk by Takehiko Inoue

I usually write notes whenever I am reading or watching anime and I think majority of what I wrote for this manga is about Hanamichi Sakuragi, haha. Slam Dunk is not just a classic anime but also a very good manga that sure lived up with all my expectations. It was so intense with the right blend of humor and it was also so nostalgic which always left me teary eyed whenever I read it. This manga is highly recommended!

Anime Review – Blue Exorcist

Whether it’s a book, a movie or an anime, I always love it when there’s supernatural theme in them. So after crying my eyes out watching Your Lie in April, I decided to look for some supernatural anime and tadah! I came across Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist). It’s honestly my first time hearing about this anime so I don’t really know what to expect. But when I watched its very first episode, I was really surprised how it easily captured my attention.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso or commonly known as Your Lie in April is probably in every list of saddest anime recommendation both online and offline. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this anime and seeing how popular it is in the sad anime department, I decided to stay back for a while because I think my heart can’t take any more deaths, up ’til now.

And yep, this review is going to contain some spoilers ahead, so read on your own risk, *wink.

It’s already been a month since I’ve returned from my two months stay in Manila but it’s just now that I finally decided to write this article, haha. Sorry about that, I’m really having a hard time getting used to blogging (after being a no-show for two months) plus I’ve been so busy juggling with my new schedule.

Looking for a short but sweet contemporary romance story? Why Don’t We? by Jamie Ayque may be a good choice. The story line may be cliche but I bet you will like the sweet addition of desserts in this story. Plus, it’s HEA guarantee and there’s 0% chance that you’ll want someone dead because of frustration, haha. Recommended.

Book Review – Debt Inherited by Pepper Winters

Despite not a fan of dark romances/BDSM genre, Debt Inherited proved to me that you don’t need to be a fan in order to enjoy the story. Every scenes had me in full alert, and despite the cruelty (which can be really disturbing to some), it was still a pretty fine read. The writing style was incredibly good too so why not give this one a try eh?
