Rating System
My reviews are simply my opinion on a particular book right after I finish reading them. Not everyone will agree with my reviews, but that’s totally ok. Besides, everyone has different tastes aight?
And here’s my rating interpretation:
5 stars – It was perfect! I couldn’t put it down and I can’t sleep unless I finish it.
The book was absolutely amazing and I loved it. The characters were memorable and had distinct voices. The plot line was amazing and it never once lost my interest. The author’s writing skills plus the words used were very reader friendly especially to someone like me who’s English is not a native language. Another reason for the high rating would be the ending. These books often left me suffering a book hangover for a very long time and I find myself rereading it over and over again. Highly recommended!
4 stars – Close to perfection.
The book was an enjoyable read. I really like it, and there are some moment that I may have loved it. There may be a few things to improve or if there’s something lacking. Go read this book!
3 stars – It was good.
Not that bad but also not that good for a 4 star rating. Neutral reaction. There’s nothing interesting in the story that makes it unforgettable for me. I would still recommend this book, it just wasn’t a favorite of mine.
2 stars – I may have liked a few.
There may have been some moments that I liked. This rating is often for books that are lacking in many areas – writing, characterization, and/or problematic plot lines. Too wrong to recommend.
1 star – Not my cup of tea.
This rating is for books that I had several issues with. There wasn’t anything about the book that I enjoyed. Or sometimes, books that I didn’t bother to finish. Strongly not recommended.
