New York’s trendy magazines are a source of peril when a killer enacts a bizarre dance of death, using the personal ads to lure his victims…

After college, best friends Erin Kelley and Darcy Scott move to the city to pursue exciting careers; Erin is a promising jewelry designer, Darcy finds success as a decorator. On a lark, Darcy persuades Erin to help their TV producer friend research the kinds of people who place personal ads. It seems like innocent fun…until Erin disappears.

Erin’s body is found on an abandoned Manhattan pier — on one foot is her own shoe, on the other, a high-heeled dancing slipper. Soon after, startling communiques from the killer reveal that Erin is not the first victim of this “dancing shoe murderer.” And, if the killer has his way, she won’t be his last. Next on his death list is Darcy.

Review

Loves music loves to dance is another suspense/thriller book from America’s queen of suspense, Mary Higgins Clark. I considered it as my unforgettable book because of 2 reasons. First, because it’s the very first novel of Mary Higgins Clark that I’ve read, and second, I considered the plot of this story quite morbid.

If you are asking me why? Then imagine dancing with a dead body being preserved in your freezer. Very gross right? Or maybe crazy. That was also the reason why I was glued to the story. One factor also is that the author used simple english words that are very easy to understand.

This is a very interesting story. You will feel the suspense right from the first chapter of the book. It also gave me the feeling that skipping a single line of the story is a mortal sin. One thing I adore about the author is how she will confuse you. How she turns you to pick the wrong person as the suspect. She’s very clever.

Highly recommended to everyone who, like me, enjoys suspense. Suspense, thriller, mystery, humor and romance put together in just one book. Highly recommended.
