The Best Anime That I Watched in 2017 | Blushing Geek

My Top Anime Watch of 2017

As I’ve mentioned in my previous article, I am giving you guys the list of the best anime that I have watched last 2017. It was actually a pretty big sweep for me because I was able to watch 56 different anime with a total of 1,824 episodes and OVAS and 22 movies! It seems like I wasn’t busy huh? haha. Well, I guess it was because most of these anime were really good that I can’t seem to stop watching every single day.

Most of the anime that I have watched last year was re-watch, so I guess it’s safe to say that 2017 was pretty much my year for re-watching anime. Majority of these anime we’re those that I’ve watched when I was younger and wasn’t able to watch them completely (and wasn’t in order), so I decided to give them another try, and my! I couldn’t be this happier because they ‘re so much better than I remembered. I still think that the later years, especially the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s were the best years for anime because the majority of anime produced in those time frames was exceptional. I’m not just ofcourse speaking about the story but for the animation as well. But ofcourse there’s some new ones that I really enjoyed which you can see on the list below. Also, unlike books, I find it hard to categorize each anime so please bear with me.

Take Note: Recommended doesn’t automatically implies that they’re my favorites but it simply means that they’re one of the few (but as you can see below, a lot) of anime series/shows that I highly think that you will enjoy. The one in bold styles are those that are my favorite of all favorites. Enjoy the list, *wink.

Hihi, I guess I just overdid it last year. I doubt if I’ll reach half of it this year though hehe. But oh well, anything is possible anyway 😉

I think we both know I particularly love this post, right? 😉
There are a few you listed I still have to try, but you’re aware that I love Death Note and Ranma 1/2 😀 Me and my sister watched a few episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist in the past, we found it great but I’m afraid I still have to sit and watch it properly . . . Oh yeah, I will! 😉
I’d be curious to see if The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya works for you, it covers more than one genre: science fiction, slice of life, supernatural, comedy. I had a very good time with it and I already read half of its spin-off because I just love Nagato Yuki-chan 🙂
As for the movies, Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time were two of my personal faves last year!
Gotta love a bit of otaku time 😛

Wolf children and The Girl who leapt through time are already in my list but haven’t got the time to watch them yet. So this year, I’ll make it sure that I’m gonna watch them 😉 Fullmetal Alchemist was pretty good but I don’t like the ending, you’ve got to see Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood instead because it was super good. Ranma 1/2 was one of the few slice of life that I really love, and I am planning to watch more in that genre this year. That said, I’ll be sure to check out your suggestion. Thanks Silvia. Hope we both have another good anime watch this year 😉
