When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Review

Before reading the story, I’m already expecting some SPG scenes, but I’m still baffled and shocked for I was never expecting those scenes to be that erotic. Well? Curious eh? Haha, you’ve got to read it for yourself.

I gave this book a shining shimmering 4 stars for weirdly, I liked it. Pardon me, I didn’t like the story because of those erotic scenes but well, honestly, I don’t even know. Pretty weird eh? Just as I was starting to read the story, I can’t help my giggle. I like how the story starts. It is somewhat contagious. Their chemistry with each other is so strong that I can’t help but wish that I was Ana. Oh Christian Grey, can you be mine? (olahlala!) hahaha

I really feel triumphant for having to finish this story. Why would that be? Well, I wasn’t really struggling on finishing the book; though there were several times that I wanted to hit the heroine myself. You’re asking me why? Well, simply because she’s an idiot. I don’t like her character. Sometimes she’s smart and most of the times she’s stupid. She’s very hooked on Christian, and well, I cannot blame her for that. And I sometimes picture her as a perv and always IN for S**. Haha, censored. And by the way, what’s with inner goddess? I am almost suspecting her as the heroine in this story. Hahaha lol.

Wow Grey, your pocket never runs out of supply huh. Very boy scout! (only those who have read can relate) Can’t get off the line, “funny peculiar or funny haha”. I know there’s nothing special about it, but I just find it funny!

I’m not really sure how I feel about the ending. But I almost want to cry on Christian’s pleading. Well, I’ll stop it right there for I might spoil your reading. For me, the ending is the saddest part for the both of them huhu.

The story doesn’t say anything about what happened to Christian and how he became a sadist and masochist, so in its second book, I’m expecting those things to show up. And I’m looking forward to reading it.

  • I’ve never wanted more, until I met you.
  • Don’t leave me. You said you wouldn’t leave me, and you begged me not to leave you, in your sleep.
