It’s been a while since we came back from our fun trip in Thailand, but it feels criminal not to share with you the hotel we stayed at. P18 hotel doesn’t just fit our budget but their customer service was top notch!
Unfortunately we weren’t able to take pictures in our room because of our travel schedule so I’ll just use the hotel’s picture. No worries, everything looks identical to the room. I’ll tell you more about it below.
Location
P18 Hotel is situated in the heart of Bangkok, within walking distance of BTS Ratchathewi Station and the many shopping malls at Siam.
Complete address: 482 Soi Petchburi18, Petchburi Road, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400
Please also take note that the location of the hotel is not on the main road, but walking there at night is still pretty safe. There’s also a lot of food stalls nearby and the 7/11 convenience store is just a walking distance away.
Amenities, Staffs and Security
The first thing we noticed when we arrived at the hotel was the exceptional customer service. The staff are very approachable and don’t hesitate to help with your luggage. Checking in is also pretty convenient and although their reception area is small, it’s still a nice place to lounge because of the nice air conditioning and a snack bar for free. They also have cup noodles and coffee in the reception area.
It’s just a medium size hotel so they only have 1 elevator. It was quite small, but I think it could hold 5 people at once. But even if there’s only 1 elevator, we didn’t experience any traffic at all even if the hotel was fully booked when we stayed there. If you prefer stairs, there’s also stairs near the elevator.
Their reception area is usually open until 10 pm, but if you are arriving or checking out late or early, you can easily request the reception and they will accommodate you. They also offer free luggage storage in case you arrive early or if your flight is late at night and you want to roam around Thailand more. It’s free for a day, and with a fee of more than a day.
Another thing I loved about our stay was the free bottled water per day, 2 bottles per person and free laundry service. Isn’t that convenient?! Although drinking water in Thailand is pretty cheap and accessible, it’s still pretty convenient to have one ready in your room. As for their free laundry service, you can have your washed clothes (not ironed) within the day. Isn’t that just great!
P18 Hotel also has a rooftop deck where you can hang out, eat or just enjoy the view.
As for security, the hotel has 24/7 CCTV and although the hotel is not on the main road, even if you stayed out late, it’s still pretty safe to walk back to the hotel. They have fire extinguishers ready and smoke detectors/alarms in case of fire. We definitely didn’t have any security or even ghost scare during our stay, *wink.
Rooms

P18 Hotel has a total of 19 rooms which are newly furnished featuring a futon bed, large flat screen television and en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The room we stayed in was their standard room, good for 2 people. Since it’s a standard room, it only has 1 bed and doesn’t have windows. The bed was big enough for two people, and even if the room doesn’t have a window, it didn’t feel stuffy at all. It has enough space for our luggages and for us to walk around without tripping or bumping into each other.
The following are the amenities/services we enjoyed:
- Foods at their snack bar in the reception area (all check-in guests can enjoy for free)
- Daily laundry service (all check-in guests can enjoy for free)
- Two bottled water per person everyday (all check-in guests can enjoy for free)
- Fresh towels daily
- Wifi
- TV
- Aircon
- Private Bathroom (with hot and cold shower)
- Small refrigerator
- Electric kettle
- Small table
- Clothes rack
- Closet
- Clothes hanger
- Hair dryer

Final
We stayed at P18 Hotel for 5 days and we never had any bad experiences. Although it’s not on the main road, I didn’t mind the extra walking because it felt like we were seeing Bangkok as a local because of the local residences and buildings we passed by. It’s also a great way to check out some affordable meals and stores, *wink.
There’s a lot of affordable hotels in Bangkok depending on your location of preference but since we want a place near the train station and walking distance to Pratunam Market (since we want to shop, hahaha), P18 Hotel is perfect for us. The price is pretty reasonable too considering the amenities and services they provide.
If we go back to Thailand, we will definitely stay here again!
