Red Queen is one of the few YA Fantasy series that I truly enjoyed when I was just starting in this genre years ago. For that, regardless of what I felt for the last two books of this series, it will still have a place in my heart. War Storm is the longest book of this series, probably because it’s the last book, but thinking about how the previous book ended, I feel that it was necessary.
King’s Cage started right after what ended in the previous book, in which Mare chose to be captured in order to save her friends. She was kept as a prisoner for 6 months in which she experienced a lot of awful things.
Emerald Blaze was just as wonderful as what I anticipated. I think the only thing that I didn’t anticipate is the extreme action this story provided. The other books were extreme, but this one, I have to say that this husband-and-wife team outdid themselves.
That was wow. Sapphire Flames as expected is another fun and exciting read. The adrenaline kept me at the edge of my seat and the chemistry between Catalina and Alessandro made me giggle like crazy. I loved it.
4 books down, and I am still in love with this series. Diamond Fire effortlessly took my 5-star rating. For a novella, that definitely speaks a lot, *wink. It started off with Nevada’s POV in which she is so nervous about meeting her future mother in law. And then continued by Catalina – Nevada’s sister – which is a nice transition as the next lead figure.
