The story started 22-years ago when Peter Carington, was questioned for the disappearance of an 18 year old Susan Althrop, who had vanished following the formal dinner dance she had attended at the Carington mansion. He was suspected but there's no evidence that could pin him.
This story was about these two sisters namely, Kate and Hannah, who lost their mother at an early age due to a boat accident. Years later, a grown up Kate was left in coma after a deadly fire that took place in their family owned warehouse of furniture reproduction.
I always like books that were published even before I was born. I find their story more interesting and is very indulging. I’m into classics and hardly onto latest books. And this is one of the good examples why classic thrillers are more entertaining than the newer ones.
Wow! This book has been a perfect choice to read. I’ve read some of her latest books and I would say that it’s my favorite. It is a classic book that has a lot of suspense and with my favorite happy ending.
