After a wild night at the club, Gyuha wakes up to a surprise. He’s tangled in the sheets with none other than his childhood friend, Chayoung. The more Gyuha thinks about it, the more he realizes that Chayoung is actually his ideal type, maybe a tad too tall. Despite their rendezvous becoming a regular thing, and the chemistry between them getting steamier, Chayoung is still dead set on marrying an omega. Too bad he doesn’t know Gyuha is not the beta he’s pretending to be.

Review

It seems like everytime I start my review in any BL manhwa that I read, it always starts with me saying it’s been a while since I read one, wahahaha. But looking back now, it really is quite a long time, lol. That said, I didn’t have any in my list until I saw Dog and Bird edit in my tiktok fyp! The baby is just so cute, so I decided to read it right away, wahahahaha!

Since I love this manhwa’s art, I decided not to read the description/summary and went to read the first chapter right away! And my eyes instantly shine when I find out that it’s an omegaverse romance! Yeheyy!

Unlike the typical omegaverse love stories wherein it’s pretty obvious who’s the alpha and the omega, this one has both leads that could pass up as an alpha! The omega named Seo Gyuha looks and acts like an alpha! I love my dainty and feminine omega, but I never thought having a hot and tough looking omega would give me another level of satisfaction. I can’t explain it very well, but I really love what I am seeing, hehehehe.

The flow of the romance between the main leads was ok to me considering it’s shorter in length than most romance manhwa I read so far. It didn’t feel rushed and it’s really good to see their progress. In an omegaverse story, we usually have a very willful and most of the time red flag alpha but in Dog and Bird he’s definitely a red flag alright but surprisingly not the worst, lol. Our alpha named Lee Cha Young has a promiscuous lifestyle the same with our omega, but what sets him apart is that he’s surprisingly very caring to our omega early on. Yes, it could be interpreted as him having ulterior motives because of their setup but it still looks like he really cares considering that he doesn’t have feelings for him at that time yet.

Another thing I like is that it was the alpha who always chases the omega. He’s the one who always worries and corrects any misunderstanding which I really appreciate a lot since we usually have a lot of that in BL stories, lol. Looking back now, their story is pretty much a cliche, but I still enjoyed it overall. I love that the art looks incredibly good and there’s no annoying love triangle or psycho ex, so in the end, it’s still a win read!

As per reading, the main story has ended in Chapter 45 but the side stories are still ongoing. But don’t fret, their cute baby is already presented here and is such a cutie <3 I love that the side story dives instantly to their life as a married couple, but it would have been really great to atleast have one chapter of their wedding though. But oh well, it was still a very good read overall!

If you love omegaverse stories, you shouldn’t skip on Dog and Bird!
