The soldier’s e-mail order bride is the second book of the heroes of chance creek series by Cora Seton, but it can be read standalone. Actually, I read it first before starting the others and I still ended up enjoying it.

She sounds like a really nice person who works hard to provide for her daughter, and she sure is. She had it tough even before she got married but I really like how she keeps on fighting to achieve her goals.
The Selection series always has amazing covers, and The Heir is no different. I wish I could say the same with the story though, but it was like The Elite all over again minus the love triangle (thank goodness!). Just like the latter, the main protagonist of this story is very hard to like.
I’m not sure where to start, hahaha. The Elite started so lovey-dovey I’m not even sure if I am reading the right book, lol. I’ve read the first book of this series 3 years ago, so I was ready to be confused even though I’ve just read its novella, The Queen (which isn’t related to this story directly), but I definitely wasn’t expecting that mushy start, hahaha.
Red Queen is one of the few YA Fantasy series that I truly enjoyed when I was just starting in this genre years ago. For that, regardless of what I felt for the last two books of this series, it will still have a place in my heart. War Storm is the longest book of this series, probably because it’s the last book, but thinking about how the previous book ended, I feel that it was necessary.
