Book Review – The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Selection series always has amazing covers, and The Heir is no different. I wish I could say the same with the story though, but it was like The Elite all over again minus the love triangle (thank goodness!). Just like the latter, the main protagonist of this story is very hard to like.

I’m not sure where to start, hahaha. The Elite started so lovey-dovey I’m not even sure if I am reading the right book, lol. I’ve read the first book of this series 3 years ago, so I was ready to be confused even though I’ve just read its novella, The Queen (which isn’t related to this story directly), but I definitely wasn’t expecting that mushy start, hahaha.

Red Queen is one of the few YA Fantasy series that I truly enjoyed when I was just starting in this genre years ago. Kiss the Sky is undeniably a sexy read, but it was a bit too much for me. The cursing didn’t sit well on me either but the romance was really something, plus I love the combination of Rose and Connor. It was a dual POV too, and that’s a winner in my book. If you enjoy sexy contemporary romance, then this story might work best for you.

Book Review – Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney is a very short read which entails a daily adventures and (most of the time) misadventures of a wimpy kid named Jeff. It was really funny and cute with all those illustrations. If you’re in for a short yet good laugh, then this book is definitely worthy to check out.
