What I always like about VC Andrew’s story is its simplicity. There were no super impressive words you’ll need to consult your dictionary with every single minute, which I guess is one of the reason why I enjoyed this story more. Ofcourse there were times where I like it when a book has some few very intelligent words in it, but sometimes I just want an easy casual read, and this is one of those times.
If I didn’t create this list, I wouldn’t have found out that I haven’t finished this series yet, hahaha. Seeing that there’s only 1 remaining book from this series that I haven’t read yet, I decided to start with this one.
I didn’t recall Rick Riordan’s books to be this funny. Don’t get me wrong, all of his books were fun to read, but this one was just too funny. I guess it was because of Apollo.
Unlike the recent books I’ve read, this one didn’t catch my attention instantly. I think it has to do with the writing style. I’m not sure, I just think that Sean’s POV at the first few pages sounded like a girl. Well, maybe it’s just me hahaha.
The Memory Lingers On is quite different from Mary Higgins Clark’s usual stories because there’s no crime to be solve. Don’t get me wrong, the mystery and suspense is still there ofcourse. But unlike the previous book that I’ve read from hers, this one didn’t stood up for me, but overall, it’s still a pretty interesting read.
